REFRAME was a six month research and development project from March - September 2007, funded by ACE, in which I developed work in web-design, glass, and moving image.
With the help of a mentor, and excellent tuition in various glass techniques - ranging from lampwork and blowing to kiln-casting and inclusions, the project culminated in a piece of work, SOURCE, shown as an installation at the art|works exhibition in Radstock, September 2007.
The web-design continues, and this site is a work in progress - very much a live sketchbook for ideas and documentation.
Work with glass is also developing, with further tuition at the Liquid Glass Centre in March 2008, thanks to a bursary from the Contemporary Glass Society jointly with Liquid Glass. This time I'm making pieces specifically for use with interactive media, which will hopefully be shown publicly in June 2008. |
